FAQs
What is the cancellation policy?
Whatever the reason, if you cancel a reservation after midday four days before your arrival, or don’t come at all, we’ll charge for one night’s stay unless we re-let the room. With this in mind, we do recommend you take out travel insurance. (The cancellation period for our Spa package is seven days.)
What are the benefits of booking direct?
Cheaper valet parking, priority upgrade, small gift in the room, guaranteed best available rate, shorter cancellation period (and of course you have a conversation with someone friendly, rather than press numbers when the robot-voice tells you to).
How many days do I need to explore Bath UK?
If it’s your first time to Bath and you want to get the most out of your stay, it’s worth adding an extra night or two to your break. We recommend visiting the museums, as well as a day shopping and of course enjoying both the Roman Baths and the famous Thermae Spa.
Is the Queensberry Hotel centrally located?
We’re in in Upper Bath, and all attractions are no more than a ten-minute walk away. Click here for a location map and directions to The Queensberry Hotel.
What can I do in Bath in one day?
If you are only in Bath for a day (and night), we recommend exploring the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey. Before stopping for lunch at the world famous Sally Lunn’s Buns. In the afternoon we suggest taking in the views from The Pulteney Bridge, before coming back to the hotel for an evening meal in The Olive Tree. If this doesn’t sound like your kind of adventure, we are always happy to tailor itineraries or come up with suggestions based on your preferences.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
All our top-floor rooms are air-conditioned; we provide a hot and cold power fan for the others.
Does our hotel provide parking?
We’ll happily valet park your car; this costs £25 per day, but £18 if you book your stay directly with us. Please note that, from 1st January 2025, prices will increase to £30 and £22 respectively. Your car will be parked in one of our open car parks and, once locked by our staff, it becomes your responsibility for insurance purposes. We are insured to park cars up to a value of £150,000. If yours is valued higher, do let us know, so we can put suitable arrangements in place. We guarantee a car park space from 12pm on your day of arrival until 12pm, at the latest, on the day you leave.
What time will my room be ready?
Rooms are ready by 3.30 pm, but we are pleased to welcome guests earlier, and will look after your car and store your luggage for you. (We guarantee a car park space from 12 pm)
What time will I need to vacate the room?
We ask that you vacate your room by 11.30 am, and we’ll happily look after your luggage for the day if you plan on spending more time in Bath. If you opted for our valet parking service, your car park space is yours until 12 pm on the day you leave.
From what time do we guarantee a parking space?
12 pm on your day of arrival.
What time can I leave my car until?
12 pm on your day of departure. Exceptions can be made, please ask at reception whilst staying (there may be an additional charge).
